Commissions
Every commission starts the same way: you tell me about the place. The ranch, the ridgeline, the water. Then I go to work the way I always have — through photographs, memory, and paint — until the feeling of standing there lives on your wall.
The Process
1. The conversation. We talk about the place, the room it will live in, scale, and budget. If aerial photography would serve the piece, we plan it.
2. The direction. You receive a sketch direction and palette before paint goes down. Nothing proceeds until it feels right.
3. The painting. Most commissions finish within 6 to 10 weeks, signed, sealed, and delivered or installed.

Western Montana is home: Glacier National Park, Yellowstone, the Bitterroot, the Missions, Lake McDonald, and the working land in between. For commissions, I paint your place — a ranch, a lake, a view that holds your story — working from your photos, my own photography, and when it's warranted, new aerial work.
Most commissions are completed within 6 to 10 weeks from our first conversation, including a sketch direction you approve before paint goes down.
