Glacier Summer — abstract landscape painting of Glacier National Park in high summer by Montana artist W.J. Boone

Glacier Summer

Abstract landscape · Glacier National Park in high summer

Glacier Summer One of my best memories came one the first time I visited Glacier National Park.

It was toward the end of summer and I went with all of my Junior High class.

Nelson had arranged the trip, and although I grew up just 100 miles away, I remember being mesmerized by the beauty of Glacier.

It was the best thing I ever did in school.

And I wanted this painting to demonstrate that feeling.

It was as if my heart was exploding with gratitude the first time I saw Glacier.

I heart still breaks to remember that tragic time, but when I think of Nelson, I think of the man who introduced me to Glacier Summer.
