Yellowstone Night This painting was inspired by a trip I took with a puppy, my son and two daughters.
We were actually on a real life treasure hunt, attempting the discover the gold-filled chest of Forest Fenn.
The excitement of that prospect brought to the edge of Yellowstone, just outside Gardiner.
We camped in an open field against the mountains.
And when we left empty-handed it was not disappointment I felt, but an understanding that the real treasure in life is those who love me and those I love.
