Lake McDonald
Perhaps the most iconic view in one of the most beautiful places in the world, Lake McDonald is accessible to everyone who visits Apgar Village. A few eager strides from the parking area to it smooth stone banks reveals a picture that leaves an instant imprint. The rainbow colored stones are clear through the crystal surface of water. In the fall, the colors dance together in the evening as night approaches. Although it’s a common destination, it’s never felt crowded to me. It a place so majestic that it quiets even the most ancient souls. Simply sitting, listening and being takes precedent in this place.
